Doused

 

Twinkle twinkle little star, 

how I wonder …. 

No! No, I don’t wonder.

I know what you’re, evil shrink ray that destroyed my cow.

Beautiful Bessie … all because she jumped over your stupid brother moon.

It wasn’t her fault.. it was that flaming old man 

the one who played knick-knack up in heaven.

Said he was going to ask God 

to grant his grandson sleep

Stupid kid who wouldn’t hush

even after they bought him a goat, a cow.

But I hushed him all right.

Twinkle twinkle little star

I’ll douse your flames one day.

  1. Love this dark side to the nursery rhyme! Great take on the prompt! You might want to change ‘you’re’ to ‘you are’ as, in this case, it is easier to read!
