Downtown travel

Walking briskly down the streets, Olamide was focused on getting to her destination. Drawing in air to fire up already hasty steps, she rather came to an abrupt halt. There was something strange about the mid day atmosphere.

It was fresh and rejuvenating, it didn’t make her eyes water or her nose flare-up in indignation. And there was the deafening absence of shouting merchants and bus conducts, of angry steps rushing heedlessly to destinations they rather detested, but felt drawn to like urban zoombies.

It was definitely downtown Lagos, but it certainly wasn’t the year 2016.

The scenery was beautiful with the undertone of bustling live and ambition harmonizing with natures symphony, preserving natures essence which man needed to grow.

How did we loose that? How did we end up with the bath water and no baby?

Twisting the time band Olamide summoned the portal, time to return to chaotic 2016, beautiful but way too loud for the soul.

Then she noticed, even their side of the portal had natural aesthetics whilst hers was cold metal.
