“When’s your next shift Roger?”
Sneering “Tomorrow morning”
“Don’t envy you at all buddy, I rather shovel gravel than pull a Saturday morning shift”
“Tell me about it,”
“Why does everyone hate Saturday morning shift, isn’t it supposed to be the most rewarding shift? Everyone’s busy, time passes swiftly….” asked the rookie
“Yeah, time passes swiftly, but so does your energy and sense organs.”
“It’s a life changing experience; your first Saturday morning shift boy oh boy.”
Roger chuckled “After an hour your nose starts to feel like a bloated suction tube and your airways like the vent at a sewage disposal plant. Sniffing out over a gazillion parcels and luggage can be exhausting.”
“Don’t forget the human carriers too those ones are a treat; some of them shout at you and I’m like YOO! buddy you think I like sniffing your ugly behind?” Pffffft
“A sniffer dog gotta do what a dogs gotta do” Roger sighed.
