It’s raining

It’s raining, the earth smells of renewing amorphous potential; makes me think of so much that can be, so much that already exists.

Wait! Does that even make any sense?

I am blushing furiously as you hold the pink brolly over me keeping me safe from the rain, the perfect gentleman.

It’s no wonder my thoughts are going all philosophical on me, something about you inspires thoughts from deep within. To see beauty where others see normal.

It’s raining, the sound of our feet falling on the  lonesome path forms the perfect rhythm to a song yet unwritten.

Wait! What?

I tense my shoulders, hold the brolly to keep her safe and dry. Her hair smells of something … makes me feel good.

I feel just that bit taller that bit stronger knowing I was her choice. I am that shoulder she can lean on.

At the bus stop:

How do we say goodbye: a kiss, a hug?

A kiss on the forehead, a brief hug … a story about things untold, perfect in every way.
