The year 1615.

Under the nebulous covering of pre-dawn light the parcel was delivered at the designated site, in the customary manner. Subsequently his thoughts turned to the plight of his tribe, the enemy was becoming more aggressive.The new strategy was indeed very devious, inciting war amongst his people. But there was no room for betrayal within the tribe and every traitor would be treated the same: beheaded and mounted on a pole by the waterside a warning to all. Today it was a distant cousin, tomorrow … who would it be tomorrow? How many more would there be …
