Response from an observer

Presentation1

“Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry, but by demonstrating that all peoples cry, laugh, eat, worry, and die, it can introduce the idea that if we try and understand each other, we may even become friends.” Maya Angelou

“We don’t accomplish anything in the world alone…whatever happens is the result of the whole tapestry of one’s life and all the weaving of individual threads from one to another that creates something.” Sandra Day O’Connor

“One’s destination is never a place, but a new way of seeing things.” Henry Miller

We are living in a world undivided by walls, a global community of some sort. The fear of losing our identity, place or power as a nation and individuals will be common. We will be challenged by the need to keep our ways and heritage whilst embracing another’s way of life. If there ever was a time for a balanced human identity to exist in society the time is now. We all need each other, no individual/nation strong or weak can stay an island any more.Shake off the confining cages of the past, keep your heritage, never lose the core of who you are, but acknowledge the change for it is an ever-changing one.

Keep an open mind, respect the rights of another, learn the new community growing right in front of your eyes, find your place and voice in it. Above all defend the rights of all to live in peace. Tis the only way to live in a world without walls.
